WINSON MA PROFILE

Yesterday we proudly announced that artist Winson Ma was joining the casts of artists at the "Elvis1976 & Friends NYC Custom Figure Show".  Here is some more background on who Winson Ma is.

In December 2005, Winson Ma started his own figure company "Winson Classic Creation".  In fact, early in 2000, he was already active in the design industry.  He worked with friends to found the figure brand "Brothersfree".  He was one of the creative directors.  Now Winson accepted the invitaion Polar Museum Foundation as the art director.  He aims to promote the protection of our environment.

WCC has six own trademarks, Apexplorers, Apexworkers, Firespctor,Necoco Chocolate Cat, Polarla and Artdol Family.  These six labels have participated in many major exhibitions and crossover with different renowned international and local brands.  Winson's works have won numerous international and local awards.  He's also held countless forums and talks about designs in colleges and universities.

In 2005, the Apexplorers figures was brought to the Antarctica to shoot promotional photos for the first time.  In 2010, he was elected as the president of the Hong Kong Society of Illustrators for a term of two years.  In 2009, he organized the Hong Kong Art Idol Figure Design Competition.  The fourth competition will be held this year.  In 2010, he became the first Hong Kong designer to cooperate with the world's largest online retail site Taobao.com.  Apextaobao was born as the first Taobao figure with ape features.  In 2013, he was invited by the Hong Kong Comic & Animation Federation to organize the "Comic x Figures HK Ani-Com Figure Show".  Guangzhou Redtory also asked Winson to design the mascot "Ar Can".

Moreover, Winson started his business in China by authorizing his labels to the mainland's large brands.  He designed many figure spokespersons for the institutes and created many business opportunities for them.  One of the biggest breakthroughs for 2013 is Apexlife in Hangzhou.  Winson and friends worked together to start the first fashion ape store with clothing, accessories, backpacks and other figure products.  The debut in Hong Kong will be able to bring a fresh feeling and new direction to Winson.
